During my blogging break I’ve had the opportunity to try a few new products some of which I will be sharing on here over the coming weeks, so stay tuned as there are some real gems coming along. I am kicking off however with a multi award winning product from an old favourite – Nourish!
I was kindly gifted* a small selection of Nourish products earlier this year and amongst them was the Radiance Rejuvenating Peptide Serum (£23.50). I love a serum and this one is new to me (I have previously tried the Argan Anti-Ageing Peptide Serum)so I was looking forward to giving it a whirl and it didn’t disappoint!
Radiance Rejuvenating serum is designed to hydrated, brighten and revitalise normal skins, tackling signs of ageing and restoring the skin’s natural radiance.
There are a few big hitters in the ingredients list, including hydration boosting Hyaluronic acid (which is one of my favourite ingredients – who doesn’t like something which is clinically tested to instantly hydrate your skin by 80%??). This is combined with Tripeptides (a peptide made up of three amino acids), which stimulate collagen production, minimising the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and leaving the skin looking smoother.
Tonka Bean extract may be less well known however it doesn’t disappoint; it is an antioxidant and is known for it’s absorption of UV light. It is also is an optical brightener, reducing the appearance of age spots and giving the skin a healthy and luminous glow. Nourish have doubled-bubbled on the illuminating front and also included Alpine Foxberry (traditionally known for its skin-brightening properties) which enhances natural radiance and gives the appearance of a more even skin tone.
Did you know? Tonka beans are the fruit of the Dipteryx Odorata tree which grows in South America – the tree can grow as tall as 30 metres in height and it is believed it can live for over 1000 years!!
The serum has a beautiful gentle rose scent which is quite lovely (so take moment to inhale as you apply!), sadly (in my opinion) it isn’t long lasting so if you are a little put off by floral scents then don’t worry; it subsides pretty quickly ;)
The serum is incredibly lightweight and is quite fluid in consistency and so a little goes a long way; One pump is plenty to cover face and neck with ease. It goes on quickly and is absorbed into the skin almost as it touches it with no lasting residue.
I have been using it daily as part of my morning routine for a couple of months now and am loving it. My skin looks happy and is glowing after application and feels instantly smooth and hydrated. It is worth noting that the serum is designed for normal (what is normal?) skin types and mine is generally quite dry and sensitive with a tendency to be dehydrated however this didn’t seem to be an issue as long as I applied a moisturiser shortly afterwards.
I will certainly be investigating the Protect Replenishing Peptide and Relax Hydrating Peptide serums (for drier and more sensitive skins respectively), if for no other reason than as a comparison but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this serum again. It would be a great addition to my pro kit to!!
As with (I think) all of the Nourish products, it is Soil Association and COSMOS certified organic so you can be rest assured that there is no funny business going on in terms of provenance and sustainability. It is also certified by the Vegan Society and Cruelty Free International.
Have you tried any of the Nourish Serums?

*Unless otherwise stated, the products reviewed have been purchased by me. On occasion I am sent products to try, however I will always state if I have been gifted a product. As a matter of principle (and time) I will not review any product that I do not like or use in the course of my work as a Make-up Artist, regardless of whether I purchased it myself or was sent it.
