My final post of 2023 finishes as it so often has over the past twelve years – with a roundup of my favourite products of the year.
Cards on the table. Due to the erratic nature of my writing and posting in the past couple of years, I actually haven’t written about five products this year; It’s actually three. BUT, they make for an excellent trio, so sit back and enjoy the reminder.
Bukuchi Booster – BYBI (£13.00/£30.00) V
Bakuchiol is considered to be a natural alternative to Retinol (vitamin A) as it has similar properties: reducing the appearance of fine lines, improving the texture of the skin, reducing pigmentation and increasing collagen production. Designed to work as a night-time supplement to your existing skincare, the BYBI Bakuchiol Booster is a lightweight facial oil which leaves the skin is left feeling hydrated and nourished.

Limitless Mascara – Ilia Beauty (£14.00 (3G) / £28.00 (8g)
I cannot fault this mascara and have yet to come across a mascara from a natural or organic brand which holds up so well in terms of longevity of wear. Formulated with a blend of organic beeswax and Carnauba wax combined with organic Shea Butter, the mascara is lightweight and nourishing; lashes don’t feel dry or heavy – even after a few hours of wear. It is suitable for sensitive eyes.

Resurrection Girl – Pai Skincare (£44.00) V
Resurrection Girl is a gel formulation mask, designed for dry and dehydrated skins however it is suitable for all skin types, including the most sensitive. The secret to this super hydrating mask (and also the name)? The Resurrection plant, an amazing rock dwelling plant found only in South Africa.
