Despite my bid to make my kit as waste free as possible and to convert my regulars to using reusable, more ethical alternatives, there are some who still only want wet wipes to remove their make-up. Frustrating as this is I do have to oblige.

The sun may (mostly) be shining but dry, chapped lips can still be a problem. Medication, dehydration and frequent sun exposure (or simply habitual licking) can all lead to dry, flaky and potentially sore lips in the summer months so its vital to treat them with care you would during colder weather.
I principally see myself as a Make-up Artist however my job more often than now often does involve hair too – styling not cutting. Whilst I don’t have the same love of doing hair as I do make-up (not even close!), the cleanliness of the ingredients in the products I use is equally as important. […]
Very interesting blog! I am also looking for cleaner hair products and like you said, hair is very personal because of all the different textures. I really like what Josh Rosebrook does. Very good products, reviews are raving, but quite expensive unfortunately. I don’t know if he has a heating protection product, I’ve used shampoo, conditioner (both very good), a sort of moulding wax (my husbands likes that one too and he never likes products in his hair(!) and now a sort of texturising spray, which does what is says..ReplyCancel

Thank you :)
I’ve just started using the hairspray from Josh Rosebrook actually. Liking it so far but as you say they are pricey.
Good to hear more about the other products in the range though

Last year as a result of my bid to reduce the amount of disposible kit essentials I use, I wrote about some organic cotton cleansing pads which I had integrated into my kit. These pads were/are great (I still use them in my kit) however they weren’t perfect so over the past few months I’ve […]
A couple of months ago I shared my thoughts on the Inika Long Lash Mascara which has become my must have mascara over the past year or so. I love it; it lengthens, defines, volumizes and lifts – all whilst increasing my the span of my lashes! Sounds perfect but just when you think things can’t […]
I’ve only tried the long lash mascara, at first I didn’t like it because it was kind of too wet and hard to build up on the lashes. I also got those ugly “fly-legs” as a result when trying to lengthen the lashes. But I didn’t give up and carried on using it and it got better and better! I think it was the formula that needed to dry up a bit! It actually got really good after like 2 months, which is far too long, but anyway super-lengthening and quite a lot of holding power. That aside and though it is quite hard to wipe off I think it’s one of the best on the market. I would like to try the other ones as well, since I prefer brown color it would be The Bold or The Mascara I think :-)ReplyCancel

Natural mascaras are generally a little wetter than tradional. You could either apply a little loose powder to your lashes prior to the mascara to help reduce the wetness :)ReplyCancel
