Love: W3ll People Expressionist Mascara

Mascara_W3llPeople-1
I love colours mascara so I was incredibly excited to hear that one of my favourite Eco beauty brands W3ll People was building on their existing lash provision.

If you haven’t come across the W3ll People Expressionist Mascara (£20.00) as yet then here is the SP. Free from petroleum, parabens, aluminium, coal tar and gluten, the original W3ll People Expressionist mascara is one of my go-to products for lash painting. The formula is lovely and it creates big, bold black lashes with lift and volume – without the need for added (and potentially eye irritating) fibres.
The three new shades are: Pro Brown – a lovely natural looking cocoa brown, great for those wanting a more natural looking lash; Pro Purple – a rich plum toned mascara that would really make green eyes pop; and Pro Blue –  a must for those of you with blue eyes, in my heart of hearts I’m a blue lash kinda girl so I’m super excited by this one! The colours are eye catching and flattering and there is defiantly something for everyone.
I haven’t purchased any of these coloured mascaras as yet but have no doubt that the new shades are going to match up to the quality and wear of the existing black.
Have you tried the W3ll People coloured mascaras yet?

    Hi,
I’ve tried the W3ll People Expressionist Mascara and it makes my eyes water and itch. I’ve read one of your previous posts and you mentioned that you stopped using the Jane Iredale conditioning mascara. Is there some reason?
I hope I don’t have to stop using it due to bad ingredients…
I use it together with the Neil’s Yard mascara and it works quite well…

Any other recommendations for a good clean mascara except W3ll People?
I find the Neil’s Yard one doesn’t hold on its own.

    Thanks,
    Natalie.ReplyCancel

Hi Natalie, thanks for getting in touch.
I’m sorry to hear the W3ll People mascara irritates. Have you tried the Green People one? This has a similar finish however may be more suitable.
JI lash conditioner has great volumising properties however I didn’t feel I needed to add volume to the W3ll People mascara, nor with the Green People so just didn’t use it. I still use the lash conditioner however I have run out and not replaced, simply because I haven’t gotten around to it -I need to as my lashes are starting to loose their evenness again!! (must do this today). It does improve the staying power of the NYR mascara for sure.
I hope this helps, let me know how you get on :)

    Hi Lara,
Thanks! I was relieved to hear that its not because of some evil ingredient.
I will definitely give the Green People mascara a try. Do you recommend the black or black/brown shade? Have you tried the Nu Evolution mascara? I’ve read good reviews about their mascara and as well as the rest of their products.
They don’t have shipment to Israel, so I need to figure out how to order it.

    I’ll keep you posted :-)
I really love reading you blog and professional reviews.

No worries Natalie, I would suggest the black mascara unless you are very, very fair. I haven’t tried Nu Evolution mascara as yet – it’s on my list!! :)
Keep in touch and glad you enjoy the read
