If you follow me on Instagram (an/or twitter) then you may have noticed I spent Saturday at the Goodroots festival in East London. Held in the unique MC Motors warehouse in Dalston and billed as an Urban Wellness and Good Food festival, Goodroots is a new addition to the festival scene (I believe this is it’s first year); celebrating great food and helping to inspire good eating habits for you and your family.
The talks and workshops read like a who’s who in clean eating with guest speakers such as Ella Woodward (aka Deliciously Ella), Hemsley + Hemsley, Madeleine Shaw and Rosemary Ferguson. Sadly I wasn’t there for the food (although I did sneak an incredibly tasty gluten free pizza square [as opposed to slice] and a bottle of something delicious from Radiance Cleanse which resembled a chilled hot chocolate), however I was there to help spread the word about something I know much more about – organic beauty.
In the middle of all the foodie-ness stood a mini pop-up version of the beauty and wellbeing store Content and it was here that I was based. Myself and fellow green Make-up Artist, blogger and friend Louise Dartford were invited to work alongside the Content (mini) team and offer organic makeovers and be on hand to give beauty tips and general make-up advice.
Over the course of the day Lou and I had a more than steady stream of punters; to say the least we were rushed off our feet. As you can see from the photos we had a massive amount of make-up at our disposal (almost the entire Content make-up collection), so our job was made all the easier – definitely worth the sore feet… ;)
Did you make it to Goodroots?
