Top Five: All In One Palettes

I love a make-up palette. On so many levels they are a super handy pice of kit; they are super compact (no pun intended) and you can carry a face full of products in just one place; they are also a great way to keep the weight down whether it be in your luggage, personal make-up bag or pro kit! Of course they aren’t without their issues. Invariably there is always one shade that you aren’t keen on and always there is one or two colours which get used up well before the rest… I guess nothing is without its flaws.

Obviously you can create your own palette, picking and choosing your own products. There are plenty of empty, refillable palettes available on the market (you can read my post from way back in 2014 which cover my favourites here) and some brands offer an empty palettes tailored specifically to fit their products. Personally I love a good depotting session (like that in the image above) but I appreciate that DIY isn’t for everyone and so I have compiled a list of some all-in-one palettes which may be more up your street.

Here are my (current) favourite all-in-one palettes…

RMS Beauty Signature Set (£42.00)

The Signature Sets are the two latest offerings from Rose-marie Swift, founder of RMS Beauty. Containing all you need from the range to create a variety of looks and housed in a slim white palette which in true RMS style is simple and understated. The Pop Collection contains a Buriti Bronzer, Magic Luminizer, two Lip2cheek in Demure and Beloved and a Simply Vanilla lip and skin balm. The Mod Collection also contains the balm along with a Master Mixer, the cult Living Luminizer and Lip2cheek in Smile and Spell. As all the products go on easily with fingers, you don’t even need a brush!

Pacifica Beauty Solar Collection (£33.99) (V)

If you want a palettes which gives you multiple options then this has to be it. For the amount of products you get in it the Solar Palette is pretty good value. Containing five eyeshadows (Neptune, Glow, Treasure, Coral, Mermaid Aqua and Sandalwood), two blushers (Flushed and Bronzed) and three highlighters which can also be used on the lips (Gold Dust, Island Rose and Pink Opal), this palette has a face product for every occasion and would see you though any holiday for sure. That’s not all – the palette is recyclable too!

Nude & Noir Multi Use Face Palette (£36.00) (V)

This is the one palette in this line-up that I haven’t tried but I most definitely have my eye on. This recyclable (and BPA free) handy pocked sized quad contains four multi-use, highly pigmented creams which can be used for highlighting, bronzing and sculpting, as well as for adding colour to and enhancing the eyes and lips. The palette is available in four colourways: Bijou contains a selection of shades for creating a sun kissed glow;  Provocative is a pretty pink quad; Point Break has a real beachy, tropical feel to it and Reserve is all about creating a sultry classic evening look. They are all beautiful, I just don’t know which one I prefer…

Vapour Beauty Artist Multi Use Palette ($46.00 – approx. £35.00)

I may be pushing the term palettes a little here but these trios are super cute and perfectly sized for a night out. Complete with a double ended brush and mirror, each of the three compacts contain a one of the Aura Multi Use shades, a Velvet Lip Gloss, and either a Lipstick or Illuminator. Afterglow contains three cool pink shades; Flame consists of warm peach and rich coral tones and Rendez-Vous focuses on mauve pinks. All three are beautiful but sadly I can’t seem to find them in the UK :(

Ilia Beauty Summer Essential Face Palette (£38.00) (GF)

My final palette is a recently released and limited edition face palette from Ilia. With a mix of warm, beachy shades it is designed to help you create a beautiful sun kissed glow. Two of Ilia’s best sellers All Of Me multi-stick and Cosmic Dancer highlighter are accompanied by two new releases Dreamer (multi-stick formulation) and Summertime (a bronzing highlighter). I tried this palette in Content the other day and it is divine! I thoroughly recommend.
