Super fruit Concentrate – Odylique

I’m conscious that I have been a little skincare heavy of late. In the colder months I find myself focusing more on skincare than make-up in a bid to combat my winter ravaged skin. Like many people in the winter my skin really suffers; it feels tight and is desperately dehydrated and so I’m always looking to inject a bit of much needed moisture.

This winter I feel like I have found the perfect combination of products; some trusted favourites and some new finds.  Odylique’s Superfruit Concentrate (£33.00) is a product I can’t believe I haven’t written about before! One of these products has been a mainstay of my personal beauty routine for a number of years; from time to time it has been replaced (such as when I’m trying new products or when I’m travelling) but I always find myself coming back to it.

I love facial oils but I am picky, needing to feel and see them do something more than just feel good on the skin. I  prefer blends of oils as I feel these are more effective (certainly on my skin), plus you tick a few more boxes in terms of nutrients.

Superfruit is named thus for a good reason. A concentrated blend of super-strength organic ingredients, it is packed full of anti-oxidants, and omega fatty acids –  there is nothing in this oil that isn’t doing something to benefit your skin. Organic Rosehip oil and Sea Buckthorn are great for cell renewal and collagen production, with the latter also protecting from UV damage. Pomegranate protects and repairs, whilst the base of vitamin rich avocado and Jojoba oils hydrate and nourish the skin.

Odylique recommend that you apply Superfruit Concentrate over you daily moisturiser, applying one to two drops to your face and neck in order to lock-in moisture and aid absorption. To be honest I only read this having been applying it before my foundation for months and even to this day it varies as to whether I go oil then moisturiser or vice versa – I don’t think it really matters just personal preference. I have integrated it into my morning routine however it can also be applied as a night-time treatment or as a quick super-boost for sad looking skin.

The colour is tremendous. A rich deep amber which even when dropped (from the natty push-button pipette) onto the palm of your hand remains true. Plant polyphenols are at the root of this natural tint and the colour of the oil translates onto the face, so after its been applied there is a definite hue to the skin – this dies down over the course of the day but it certainly gets you off to a healthy looking start!

Have you tried Superfruit Concentrate? Do you have a favourite facial oil or serum?
