Hyaluronic Eye Complex – Evolve Beauty

I’ve been on the lookout for an effective but affordable eye treatment for a while now. I wrote about my love for Twelve Beauty Rapid Eye Treatment a few months ago (you can read my eulogising here); this is a product I fell head over heels with however the price tag doesn’t make it a viable option for everybody. I set about trying various alternatives but none quite did what it did…

I had heard good things about the Hyaluronic Eye Complex from Evolve Beauty (£16.00) so after a few misses on the eye treatment front I knew I had to give it a go.

A 3-in-1 treatment which is designed to reduce the appearance of dark circles, fine lines and puffiness around the eyes. It takes the form of a lightweight gel which is formulated using (amongst other things) a blend of Tuberose flower plant stem cells, cucumber extract and Hyaluronic Acid.

The inclusion of Hyaluronic Acid is always a winner for me (it is also in Twelve’s Rapid Eye Treatment). It is something which occurs naturally in the human body (consequently it can be used on any skin type) to maintain moisture levels but sadly these levels reduce as we age. Hyaluronic Acid can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water so it is guaranteed to add much need hydration to your skin – it also increased collagen production.

Tuberose plant cells aren’t an ingredient I am particularly familiar with however according to the folks at Evolve, it is clinically proven to work on the specific eye area problems such as the aforementioned dark circles, puffiness and wrinkles. It is also brightens and evens out skin tone and increases micro-circulation whilst moisturising the skin. Cucumber has long been an effective and cooling DIY eye treatment used for reducing puffiness and dark circles around the eye area and relieving irritation. The inclusion of organic cucumber extract does just that but in a concentrated form.

The cucumbers cooling properties are enhanced by the Eye Complex’s application method.  The glass bottle is topped with an equally cooling metal rollerball (pictured above) which not only makes application super quick and easy but ensures that the exact amount of the gel is applied and is distributed evenly; Simply shake the bottle (tip facing downwards) and gently roll the ball around the eye area (under eye, inner and outer corners and brow bone). You are left with a thin film of gel on the skin which can be gently pressed into the surrounding skin.

I have been using the Eye Complex for a little under a month and have noticed a difference in the map of fine lines I have around my eyes. I am lucky not to suffer particularly with dark circles (unless tired) or puffiness so don’t feel I can truly vouch for the effectiveness of the product on these. On the odd occasion I have woken with puffy or particularly dark, something seems to have happened to them after application. I’d be interested to hear your thoughts if you suffer from either.
