Ere Perez Carrot Colour Pot – Harmony

I’m sure my love of cream blusher as not gone unnoticed (or unmentioned!); it is such a versatile product which is universally flattering. I recommend them to everyone who asks (and those who don’t!).

Ere Perez Carrot Colour Pot in Harmony (£22.00) is one of the (few) lockdown additions to my pro kit, purchased on the recommendation of my friend Lou Dartford (thanks Lou!! x)

Described as natural balms, the carrot colour pots are little (6.5gm) jars of cream blush. They have been designed as a multitasking cream, adding a pop of colour to the cheeks and eye as well as the lips.

Full of nourishing ingredients such as avocado oil (skin softening and hydrating), jojoba oil (anti-inflammatory) and cocoa butter (hydrating, fights damage from free-radicals). The hero ingredient however is it’s namesake, Carrot oil which is considered to have anti-aging and sun protection properties.

The carrot pots can be applied either with fingers or a brush directly to moisturised skin or over makeup (before powdering). I have also used it as a base layer beneath a power blush for a little more longevity of wear.

Buildable and easy to blend, on the skin Harmony is not quite as sheer as an RMS Lip2Cheek (probably the most similar product available I can think of) and has a more satin finish. It is creamier and smoother to the touch and is a little more pigmented, so you only need a relatively small amount to achieve the desired depth of colour.

Harmony is a beautiful Dusty pink. I have only used it on a couple of jobs so far so it hasn’t been fully tried and tested on a wide range of skin tones but it certainly gives a lovely natural flush to fairer skin tones. I think it is possibly a little too light and dusty for darker skins but I will update once I have had an opportunity to give it a whirl.

Harmony aside, there are four other colour pots in the range: Healthy (a creamy caramel); Hello (a poppy red); Happy (crimson red) and Holy (a rich grape) and I can see myself adding them to my kit in the very near future.

Have you tried the carrot pots yet?
