Five: Eye Care products I love

Eye-care products were something I didn’t even consider until I hit forty-one. I woke up on the of my forty-first birthday and suddenly my eyelids have become crepey and creased. I kid you not, it literally happened over night! I suddenly found I really needed to use a proper (and effective) eye cream…

I am now (well) over forty-one and very conscious of the skin beneath my eyebrows; I am more than happy with the crows feet and laughter lines, they don’t worry me in the slightest but it’s the crepey skin on my eye lids and beneath my brows I am struggling with. Consequently, I have become (possibly) a little obsessed with eye care products so thought I would share some of my favourites.

Here are five eye care products I love…

Evolve Beauty – 360 Lip & Eye Contour (£30.00)(O,V)

The cream is formulated using a nourishing blend of ingredients to tackle the signs of ageing and includes (amongst other things) a probiotic blend of green tea, pomegranate and coffee to reduce the appearance of fine lines, puffiness and dark circles.

My original post from a few years ago is here :)

Haeckels – Bio Restore Eye Masks (£39.00) (V, C)

These seaweed-based under-eye masks are just lovely!

Cucumber extracts and aloe vera are blended with natural botanical antioxidants and infused with hyaluronic acid and pre-biotics to create an eye mask that is cooling, soothing and hydrating. Being plant based the masks are completely compostable so no waste!

Twelve Beauty – Rapid Eye Treatment (£44.00)(V)

This was one of my first forays into eye creams and I still think its one of the best I’ve tried!

A nourishing eye lotion designed to smooth fine lines and wrinkles whilst diminishing the appearance of under-eye dark circles, puffiness and signs of fatigue. This natural eye cream is packed full of antioxidants, hyaluronic acid and plant peptides, keeping the skin deeply hydrated and protected against environmental damage throughout the day.

Dr Hauschka – Eye Revive (£25.00) (O, V)

These are more often than not found in my pro kit (althoughI have been known to snaffle them for myself).

Eye Revive capsules (or ampoules to give the little vials their proper name) are great if your eyes are feeling a little tired from being in front of a screen or are feeling dry and scratchy. Soothing eyebright is blended with fennel, chamomile and black tea to cool and refresh the eyes. Suitable for contact lenses wearers too!

Evolve Beauty – Hyaluronic Eye Complex (£19.00)(O,V)

Another Evolve product I know but this is not only different from the previous one but it is also my go-to product for eye-care when I’m travelling!

The eye complex takes the form of a lightweight gel which is formulated using (amongst other things) a blend of Tuberose flower plant stem cells, cucumber extract and Hyaluronic Acid. It is really refreshing (great for warmer climates) thanks to both the cucumber extract and the cooling metal rollerball which not only makes application super quick and easy but ensures that the exact amount of the gel is applied and is distributed evenly.

I featured this eye treatment on here a while back; here is the original post to refresh your memory :)

There are many more wonderful eye care products out there but I am not made of money and really feel that beauty has to be affordable to be sustainable. I don’t believe in paying more than £50.00 for a skincare product and to be honest I don’t usually push to paying anywhere near that!

The eye masks in the first picture are from Lush and cost £3.50 (V,C) and my daughter (also pictured) loves them.

What is your favourite eye care product?
