Universalist |
A thick, slightly dry and waxy consistency, Universalist sticks can be easily applied with either a brush or finger, however I do think that they work better having been warmed up on the back of the hand and worked a little before application, as this seems to benefit their ability to blend. Once applied, they look incredibly natural and are surprisingly sheer, enabling you to build up the colour as you desire.
Universalist has great staying power and being of a slightly waxy nature, water beads slightly on the surface rather than dissolving or moving the colour, so it would probably tolerate a certain amount of use on water-shoots (although I have as yet to test this).
One of the great things about Universalist is their packaging, resembling a traditional pan stick, it is recycled and incredibly light-weight – meaning that you can easily have all of the sticks in your kit and not even notice!
