With Pantone celebrating the calming, soothing properties of this years colour of the year Rose Quartz and Serenity this year, it is no surprise that there has been an influx of pastel hues popping up this spring.
The very mention of pastels may send you running for the hills, however pastels needn’t be girly; they can look sophisticated (trust me). Here are a few ideas:
When applying a pale eyeshadow, anchor it with a swipe of black liner and black mascara; alternatively if you fancy the idea of a pastel blush then use a cream product rather than powder and make sure its sheer, letting the natural skin tone come though. If you still aren’t convinced then just go for a pastel colour on your nails – there re some fabulous 5-free shades about this season!
Here are my Top Five favourite pastel beauty picks…
Parma Violet Mineral Eye Shadow from Lily Lolo (£5.99) (V)
A beautiful matte lilac loose mineral shadow. Apply as a delicate wash of colour over the lid or build up for a more intense finish. If you don’t fancy using it all over the lid, then use a dampened eyeliner brush and run a line along the base of the lashes
