 Today marks the first day of the Chinese New Year and it is now officially the Year of the Monkey. Red is the lucky colour for 2016 and with Valentine’s Day also on the horizon, it seems apt that for this Top Five post I should focus on a red lip. Despite the somewhat sporadic summer we are having, the annual trend for bright lips remains steadfast and I have found myself turning to the more vibrant shades in my kit.  OK. I am imagining that purple may not be everyones first pick when it comes to choosing a new lip colour and it certainly isn’t for the feint hearted, however with both Rihanna and Lupita Nyongo seen rockin’ shades that defiantely aren’t for the shrinking violet, it seems that purple lips are here to stay… loading
