In the warmer months keeping cool on set can be a constant issue, especially when working on location or on an outside broadcast production. Combine strong lights (thankfully more and more are using LED lights which emit less heat) and summer sun can mean artists and presenters often suffer, as can the make-up itself…
Last summer I was kindly sent a bottle of Evolve Daily Defence Moisture Mist (£20.00) which after just one or two uses became an instant hit – both with myself and some of the individuals who’s faces I was looking after at the time.
A lovely refreshing mist which seems to work on pretty much any skin type. It has a delicate floral fragrance (a blend of rose water and bitter orange) however isn’t a particularly feminine scent due to the bitter orange water (personally I don’t differentiate but I know many do), so works equally well as part of a male grooming kit as in a beauty kit.
Free from alcohol (which can be drying), Evolve’s Moisture Mist contains many beneficial ingredients. Peptides from the nutrient rich Moringa plant protects the skin against pollution and Prickly Pear is both hydrating and calming. The star of the show however is the inclusion of one of my all time favourite ingredients; Hyaluronic Acid, which as well as being super hydrating (it can holdup to 1000 times its weight in water) can also help improve skincare tone.
Moisture Mist can be applied either beneath or on top of make-up, making it great for cooling down talent when on set. Of course it is perfectly good at room temperature but it sure makes a difference on a hot day if it is used straight from the fridge!!
