It’s officially Spring! Yesterday was the Spring Equinox and after what seems like an immensely long winter, I’m sure that you like me, are desperate for a little colour in your cheeks that isn’t of the windswept red variety!
Recently I’ve been using the Multi-Sticks from Ilia Beauty (£33.00) to add a little colour to my cheeks. I have a couple in my kit and have been repeatedly raiding them over the past few months – one of them seems to have found a permanent home in my personal makeup bag…
My particular favourite is All of Me. Described as a warm watermelon, I think it almost verges on a deep coral (but maybe I’m just pernickety), which would suit most skin tones; giving a summery flush to the skin.
Beautifully creamy in texture, multi-sticks are buildable, allowing for sheer or more vibrant colour payoff. I usually use my fingers to apply the cream (both on myself or others) as it warms it up a little but sometimes when working on other people I use a brush (such as the Louise Young LY51) – there is no right or wrong, just what works for you. Layering the cream also works well for longer lasting colour and it also works well as a base for powder blushes.
Whilst it is beautiful on the cheeks (where I think it works best), its important to remember it is a multi-tasker and can also be used on the lips and even eyelids – if you want to create a lovely soft tonal makeup then it’s a winner ;)
Have you tried any of the Ilia Multisticks yet?
