Top Five: Petal Pink Mineral Blusher (matte)

Pink blusher can be a great choice for perking up post winter skin and can take years off you if applied correctly. This Spring/Summer petal pink cheeks seem to be making a comeback with the faces at Versace, Matthew Williamson and Altuzarra all being adorned with a spring flush of colour.

I rarely write about loose mineral make-up. This isn’t a conscious decision however I usually base posts on the products I am using in the here and now and I tend to find most loose mineral products unsuitable for the majority of the work I do (there are some exceptions of course). Eight times out of ten I will opt for a cream blush over a powder one (loose or otherwise) when I am doing a make-up, however powder formula is the choice for the majority of blush wearers out there and for many clean beauty lovers, minerals are the way to go – so here we are.

Pinks can get a bad rap. It is very easy to make a make-up look dated by using the wrong pink; one that doesn’t match your lipstick (i.e. has a different base/undertone) or is just too frilly or sugary. Get it right however and you can look fresh-faced and bushy tailed – whatever your skin tone.

Here are my Top Five petal pink matte mineral blushers (that don’t make you go blugh)…
