Top 5: Brow And Lash Brushes

A beautiful eye make-up can be really let down by a messy brow or a misplaced lash, however you don’t need many tools to keep unruly eyebrows and stray lashes in check, so here are some of my favourites…

My top five brow brushes are…

Bdellium Tools Studio Line Mascara Fan Brush – 731

When I am applying mascara to other people I tend to use a micro fan brush rather than a wand as I think they give a nicer finish on most lashes (although they don’t work for a clumpy lash look). For years I used a MAC 205, however since parting ways with them I have been trying to find other micro fan options – enter the 731 Studio Line Fan. Not quite on the same level but very nearly and this method of application is still always a talking point!

E.L.F Brow Comb and Brush

Despite my brush obsession I never believe in spending much on these style brushes as I find that they tend to break very easily and are stupidly difficult to clean. Generally I buy the cheapest possible and then I am not saddened by their demise – not particularly ethical but this is my one brush flaw. This one from E.L.F is perfect and at just £1.50 you can’t go wrong!

Bdellium Tools Maestro Bold Angle Brow – 764M

I love this brow brush from Bdellium (sorry for including two from these guys but they are different lines). Produced with wider and stiffer bristles than most brow brushes it is perfect for creating stronger brow shapes and for filling in any missing bits. It works fantastically with bolder colours to help make a real impact!

Rae Morris Eyebrow Brush

This has to be one of my favourite brushes for brows – ever! The super fine brush from Aussie Make-up Artist Morris, means you only tidy up the brow hair you want to deal with and not the foundation and make-up around the brow. Why did no one think of this before?

Tweezerman Brow Shaping Brush

Originally designed for US make-up line Benefit, this retractable spoolie brush keeps brows well and truly under control.
