From The Vault: Bentley Organic Moisturising Hand Sanitizer

This month rummage through the vault brings to light a short but sweet post from 2012 which with its Soil Association mention, is the perfect choice for Organic September.

Soil Association certified, Bentley Organic Hand Sanitizer (approx £3.00) is an antibacterial foaming mousse that kills 99.9% of germs and has been rigorously tested against both viruses and bacterias.
Unscented, it is free from alcohol and parabens and contains moisturising Aloe Vera so is very gentle on your skin – ideal when moving from one artist to another on set means repeated use!
Available in a 50ml pump bottle, you get approximately 125 applications per bottle. I have used Bentley Sanitizer for a while and would say that 2 pumps is adequate to give you good clean hands with no residue or stickiness.

I don’t think I’ve written such a short post in a long time; obviously I hadn’t loosened the reins on my natural urge to ramble at that point.

Rambling aside (or about to commence depending on your take on it), hand sanitiser is an essential component of my kit, my bag, my car, my life. Despite being all too willing to get my hands dirty I am slightly germ phobic in certain situations (public toilets, soft play and the like) and always (for the sake of hygiene) ensure that I apply it between faces when I’m doing the day

These days I generally use Dr Bronners Hand Sanitizer for my hand sterilising needs (I got through 4 bottles on my recent film). I (and many of the faces I make up) love the delicate and relaxing floral aroma it leaves; a great way for calming anxious pre-camera individuals.

Some jobs I do have stringent restrictions on the type of products I am able to use and the inclusion of potentially flammable substances in my kit is a definite no-no. So, although this particular hand sanitiser is no longer my go-to everyday product, I still love it and purchase over any others when looking for an alcohol free sanitiser.

Have you tried this hand sanitiser?

  • This is a great post Laura. I’ll be sure to check this hand sanitiser out. If you don’t mind me asking, what is the other one that you use more often? Thanks so much. I love your blog. :)ReplyCancel

      Hi Noleen
thanks for getting in touch. On a daily basis I use Dr Bronners however when I need an alcohol free one when I work with a particular client or can’t use liquids, I use this. Both very good :)
