Back in the spring I worked on a series of promotional films for Shell. Entitled Everyday Experts, the aim of the short films is to give people a better understanding of how fuel actually works and of course the benefits from using this specific brand of fuel in your car over any other ;)
The films consisted of five pairs of normal people from various walks of life talking about fuel. The films are short, informative (I learnt more about fuel in those three days than I had ever imagined I would know) and quite amusing.
The make-up brief was to keep everyone looking as natural as possible. With the guys I simply used some corrective techniques to go over any blemishes, even out skin tone and knock back any shine (it was incredibly hot in the studio that day). The women were equally as simple and a no-make-up look as requested. Some corrective make-up and light base then a little natural lip and cheek colour and swipe of mascara. Unfortunately I can’t remember each make-up individually (it was shot in March) so I can’t give the usual product details for this one.
There are five films in the series so you’ll be relieved to know that I’m not going to write a different post for each film. Shell have conveniently put them all in one place, so click on the image below if you fancy whiling away ten or so minutes.
By the way, if you are a fan of Love Island and are thinking one of the guys looks a little familiar, you would be right – it’s 2017 winner Kem Cetinay!
