M Is For…

From now on it’s downhill all the way as we descend into the second half of my alphabet of natural and organic make-up brands. Who’s up next?

Who Are They? Founded in 1995 by Swedish skincare specialist Maria Åkerberg and sold across Scandinavia.
Eco-Credentials: Natural make-up brand (I can’t find any obvious overall certifications on the website however many of their ingredients are COSMOS certified); cruelty free; sustainable packaging – its all a bit lost in translation I’m afraid
The Products: Principally a skincare company, Maria Åkerberg also offer a collection of plant based make-up products. The make-up is designed for lighter skin tones and covers a reasonably sized range of face, eye and lip products with some beautiful shades hidden within if you browse the site.
Favourite Products: Unfortunately I haven’t tried any of the Maria Åkerberg collection as they are not available in the UK but I am planning a Scandinavian trip later this year so fingers crossed!!

Who Are They? An award winning British mineral make-up brand
Eco-Credentials: Vegan friendly and free from preservatives, fragrance, alcohols, oils and synthetic dyes
The Products: The make-up collection is very small and the bases very much suited to lighter skin tones however there is a few fun eyeshadow shades to look at.
Favourite Products: I have to admit I hadn’t come across Mirror & Make-up until writing this post and so sadly I haven’t tried anything from their collection. Have you?

Who Are They? Australian mineral make-up line founded by award winning Make-up Artist Kylie Apostoles
Eco-Credentials: Free from bismuth oxychloride, dimethicone, talc, FD&C dyes, parabens, mineral oil, petro-chemicals, artificial fragrances, silicones, paraffins, and SLS.
The Products: A pretty extensive range of mineral based make-up in pressed and loses powder and liquid formulations. The range of shades is focused on the fairer end of the market however the small collection of eyeshadows and lipsticks appear to consist of neutral and flattering shades (as I can see them online).
Favourite Products: I believe the products are only available in Western Australia and so unfortunately I haven’t been able to try any of these products. If you are based down under then do drop me a line to let me know what you think of them.
