My current favourite lip liner is Lavera Soft Lip Liner in Rose (£7.90 but currently on offer so £5.92). I discovered it over the summer and have been using it regularly never since on a variety of jobs from film and broadcast tv to corporates and commercials.
Although it carries the name Rose, I would not consider it as a particularly rosy shade; a soft brown with a piny undertone – I see it more of a deep nude but its subjective… (excuse my slightly dry lips below)
For the majority of make-ups I do, I like to use a lip pencil with a soft, rounded tip as I find this gives a more natural looking shape to the lip line (a sharper tip means a sharper line). This particular pencil works particularly with this method and defines the lips well them for lipstick and/or gloss application.
Thanks to the combination of oils and waxes the texture is smooth and creamy and the pencils go on easily and evenly. On the lip the liner is a touch on the dry side on initial application (this is standard for a lot of lip liners) however it’s not uncomfortable to wear and after a while the feeling subsides.
Wear wise it is pretty long lasting and even holds out reasonably well against a sandwich and a cuppa!
I am loving the Lavera liners at the moment (this is one of four shades in the range). Have you tried them yet?
