Archive: Blaze Mineral Blush – Earthnicity Minerals
Although I tend to favour a cream blush, every now and then a winner of a powder product comes along…
(£10.99) is a long lasting and highly pigmented loose powder mineral blusher from London based Earthnicity Minerals.
Blaze is a warm, orangey, almost brick toned blush with subtle gold flecks. I frequently find that there is too much shimmer or glitter in mineral products (especially in blushers and bronzers) however this actually has a matte finish and the gold flecks are not too large or obvious. Designed for medium to tanned complexions, I use this blusher regularly on commercials, broadcast and photographic shoots where I am working on darker skin tones.
The images below is from a continuity shot from a shoot I worked on for Priority Pass (who provide frequent travellers with independent airport lounge access), as you can see the was fairly light skinned but with slight yellow undertones and the blusher looked lovely on her.
In the pot the colour looks quite strong however as with most mineral blushers it goes on fairly sheerly and can be built up as required. Applied with an LY49 Small Powder Brush
*, Blaze went on and blended easily to produce a lovely sheer wash of colour which was both flattering and understated and a perfect choice for the looks I was creating.
*The bristles of the LY49 are long and loosely packed and so mineral powder will not go on as heavily as it would if I was using a Kabuki or more densely packed brush.
